The Prior Authorization Lead is the subject matter expert of the prior authorization process and is responsible for being the “first line” resource for prior authorization staff. This includes accurately answering questions regarding procedures, training, and processes to assure compliance with HPN policies and procedures. The Prior Authorization Lead assists the Prior Authorization Supervisor with daily management of prior authorization staff, auditing functions, and assuring that all staff provides a level of patient care that meets or exceeds the organization’s expectations.
