About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for printing and scanning documents. The position requires skill in organizing, attention to detail, efficiency, and effective time management. The incumbent will perform routine duties independently in accordance with established and general policies and procedures requiring regular interpretation and will be responsible for sound judgment, thoroughness, and competence, where failure to perform effectively and efficiently can seriously impact the outcome of clients’ cases, the Company’s reputation with the Social Security Administration, and the Company’s financial stability. The work is performed in a fast-paced office setting with frequent interruptions and the need to interact with team members who work in close physical proximity.

Requirements

  • Must be familiar and competent with scanning equipment.
  • Must be familiar and competent printers and inserter equipment.
  • Must be familiar and competent with standard office equipment including personal computer and word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
  • Must be familiar and competent with Company specialty software systems and procedures.
  • Must be familiar and competent with driving the company vehicle.
  • Must work independently and balance task responsibilities in a customer service setting.
  • Ability to routinely lift and carry boxes and other mail weighing more than to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to consistently stand and walk around the printing room for 3 to 4 hours daily.
  • Ability to kneel, crouch and bend at the waist and reach above shoulder level.
  • Ability to sit and use computer workstation, including keyboard and visual display terminal, for extended periods.
  • Finger, hand, and wrist dexterity.
  • Ability to communicate orally.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, patiently, and courteously.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, and sometimes irate, individuals and respond calmly and efficiently to situations ranging from routine to urgent.
  • Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once and to work positively and effectively within a team and as self-directed.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Correctly print batches of documents from the Central Printing queues.
  • Correctly use mail processing equipment to insert documents into envelopes.
  • Use company equipment with precision and perform routine maintenance on printers and inserter machines as instructed.
  • Effectively scan each document with the best possible quality afforded by the original.
  • Scan documents to the correct folder as described by the attached label.
  • Pick up the mail from the post office.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to changes in processing procedure.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy in all tasks.
  • Follow policies contained in the Employee Handbook.
  • Complete other tasks as requested by department management.
  • Attendance: Full-time position that requires regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
  • Remain at your assigned workstation, working, during your scheduled work hours.
  • Complete work efficiently and effectively.
  • Follow instructions from the department manager.
  • Be respectful to clients, Social Security Administration workers, vendors, and team members.
