About The Position

Overall responsibility of planning and coordinating the digital printing function. Responsible for scheduling and supervising the printing staff.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree or 5-7 years of printing experience in a direct mail or related industry, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory position

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the laser/digital print employees.
  • Ensure all quality control procedures are followed.
  • Ensure proper staffing throughout the shift.
  • Communicate staffing needs as they occur.
  • Supervise employees through the delegation of work responsibilities, the instruction of appropriate methods and procedures, and the monitoring and revision of processing activities as required to meeting work schedules.
  • Responsible for stimulating maximum productivity and efficiency from employees.
  • Interview and hire employees and conduct periodic performance reviews.
  • Explain and enforce company policies.
  • Refer employee relations’ problems to the human resources department.
  • Work closely with clients, as needed, ensuring the jobs meet their expectations.
  • Consult with department managers regarding printing recommendations.
  • Manage expenses to meet budgetary goals.
  • Oversee the preventative maintenance of all printing equipment.
  • Order supplies and maintain control of inventory.
  • Work with quality control staff to update policies and procedures, as necessary.
  • Keep current regarding technological changes in the industry.
  • Advise on capital improvements for the print room area.
  • Comply with company rules and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.
  • Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department.
  • Keep manager informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.
  • Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company
