About The Position

The Printing Press Operator will operate multiple printing presses depending on the production schedule. You will use an assortment of screen printing and digital printing Direct-to-Garment (DTG) equipment to decorate garments. This position will be cross-trained in multiple print processes to support the department as needed and pay is tiered depending on flexibility and ability to operate multiple pieces of equipment while regularly meeting minimum hourly performance and maintaining extremely low defect rates. Level 1– able to effectively operate one press. Level 2– able to effectively operate two presses. Level 3– able to effectively operate all 4 presses. This position works closely with the material flow and finishing teams to make sure all products are decorated on time and ahead of schedule to support business needs.

Requirements

  • Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Good hand eye coordination
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively listen and follow instructions.
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in common units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Desire to create quality products
  • Must comply with any company policy of wearing personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, gloves, safety glasses, etc. where required
  • Must be available to work hours and days as needed based on changing schedule demands, including overtime. Schedules and shifts may change throughout the year. Schedule requirements may include working days, afternoons, nights, 1st shift, 2nd shift, or weekends as needed.

  • Set up every job to match work order with intent to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Anticipate, prevent, recognize, and troubleshoot issues with prints
  • Verify proper quantities have been printed before cleaning and breaking down the press for the next job.
  • Request assistance or guidance when presented with challenges outside your expertise or experience
  • Show up every day on time, ready to support coworkers and engage with existing company culture
  • Be passionate about quality and customer satisfaction
  • Follow any and all established safety protocols including hearing and vision protection where required
  • Maintain clean and safe working environment
