Hiring Hourly Range: $19.95-$25.27 Compensation is determined by a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications. The Impact You'll Make In This Role: The Printer II is responsible to perform all printing functions necessary for the timely completion of high-quality printed materials, such as newsletters, periodicals, bill inserts, brochures, etc. Follow detailed job ticket instructions.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma, along with three (3) years of printing experience is required.
  • Must be proficient in the operation of departmental printing presses with comprehensive knowledge of bindery equipment, including collators, folders, cutters, and similar machinery
  • Possesses a solid foundation in mechanical aptitude and computer literacy to support efficient production processes
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and the ability to precisely follow job ticket instructions
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external customers as needed
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team
  • Must be able to handle routine as well as variable tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • The position requires the ability to differentiate between colors.

Nice To Haves

  • Offset printing experience is preferred, with a minimum of two (2) years of general printing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate departmental printing equipment, digital ink jet press, digital toner press, 2-color jet press to produce high quality printed materials with close registration.
  • Formulate and mix inks as required.
  • Output plates from DPX System; perform minor maintenance and adjustments.
  • Operate departmental bindery equipment such as collator, folder, cutter, and other miscellaneous equipment.
  • Clean and maintain departmental equipment including presses, collators, folder and cutter.
  • Work directly with internal and external customers when called upon to clarify job details or make changes regarding materials, colors, etc.
  • Provide back up press operation in absence of Lead Printer.
  • Provide training to other employees as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
