About The Position
Learn about Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and assist with GIS projects. The Impact You Will Make in This Role: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Work in a team environment to learn about GIS and assist with ongoing GIS projects. Duties to include maintaining and implementing functions pertaining to the GIS program under the direction of the GIS team. With headquarters in La Crosse, Wis., Dairyland is a generation and transmission cooperative that provides wholesale energy for 24 electric distribution cooperatives and 17 municipal utilities in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois. Requirements
- Education & Experience: Completing Sophomore or Junior year of a GIS qualified program or Completed certification from a qualified GIS program.
- Skills: Microsoft Office and ESRI suite of software a must.
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid Driver’s License.
- Physical Demands: Extended periods of viewing a computer monitor, with extensive keyboard and mouse usage. Requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting (25 lbs.) and bending. Must be able to traverse rough terrain.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Dairyland employees, Member Cooperatives, and work in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- ACAD experience preferred.
