Print Operator - Night shift
About The Position
As a Print Operator you'll be a versatile contributor at Avery Dennison, you are the engine that keeps our production moving. In this role, you will manage data flow and operate specialized laser printing equipment to ensure our customers receive high-quality products on time. We are looking for a teammate who is eager to learn multiple functions, from machine operation to data entry, and who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Why Join Us? Shift & Overtime Requirements Standard Shift : 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Sun–Tue) and 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Wed). Mandatory Overtime : Candidates must be available for mandatory overtime during peak production seasons.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to stand for the full 12-hour shift, reach with hands/arms, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Strong close-range vision and the ability to distinguish colors for print quality validation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while embodying our values of connection and flexibility.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with ERP systems or production software is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Initiate production jobs and laser printing from digital files.
- Monitor data arrival and alert supervisors of any delays to prevent production bottlenecks.
- Operate multiple printers simultaneously—juggling current laminating jobs, printing re-runs, and staging the next customer’s work to ensure a smooth transition flow.
- Use ERP systems to log time and materials.
- Maintain meticulous records of jobs printed and tested via logbooks and computer documents.
- Perform frequent sampling and quality checks.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and strictly follow all PPE and safety protocols.
- Perform basic maintenance and place service calls to technicians when necessary to minimize downtime.
