General Scope of Duties: Operators are responsible for setting up, maintaining, and operating production machinery to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing. Operators are expected to be reliable, attentive to detail, and committed to working within company safety and quality standards. Collaboration and teamwork are essential to success in this role. The primary goal is to support continuous, efficient operations over the designated weekend schedule while maintaining operational excellence and safety. Responsibilities and Duties: Safely operate and maintain various machines in a production environment. Serve as a back-up for the senior operator in cases of an absence or scheduled day off. Assist in training Production Assistants and new Operators as required. Set up, operate, and maintain slitters, roll formers, unwind stations, and related equipment. Operate and maintain various forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Conduct in-progress and post-job product inspections per management direction. Set all machine parameters (speed, size, shape) before operation and ensure calibration before and after production. Troubleshoot and correct machine faults promptly to minimize downtime. Adhere to all client job specifications and production standards. Complete all required production paperwork accurately and on time. Load and unload delivery trucks, trailers, and raw materials. Perform minor maintenance tasks and assist with preventive maintenance as needed. Maintain cleanliness and safety in all work areas. Perform other duties as assigned to support production and plant operations.
