At PaperWorks, we are seeking an experienced and talented Print Department Manager to join our Baldwinsville, NY folding carton plant. This role is responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective management of the entire Press Department, including both Flexography (Flexo) and Lithography (Litho) operations. The Print Department Manager is accountable for achieving manufacturing targets, supporting team development, and driving operational excellence to meet organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Print related technical expertise for folding carton applications, with broad knowledge across platforms (not limited to a single press type).
  • Bachelor degree in business or a related field; or 7 10 years of related experience in Lithography and/or Flexography; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Folding carton industry experience is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of responsibilities and execute effectively to meet business needs.
  • Strong relationship -building skills and the ability to develop an informal network of internal partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi -task, prioritize effectively, and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Strong problem -solving skills with the ability to address a variety of variables and implement corrective actions.
  • A positive attitude with determination and courage to drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Scope includes the full Press Department: Flexo and Litho
  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure all press operations meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
  • Coordinate daily plant activities to achieve manufacturing goals in a timely and cost -effective manner.
  • Support and promote a LEAN manufacturing culture, ensuring products meet quality, reliability, and cost requirements.
  • Maintain and reinforce high standards of safety, customer service, print quality, on -time production, and on -time delivery.
  • Monitor and control waste to manage production costs and reduce environmental impact.
  • Review production costs, quality results, and workflow efficiency; implement improvements to enhance profitability.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels across all stakeholder groups to support strong collaboration and consistent results.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to support department goals, customer satisfaction, and team member engagement.
  • Provide coaching, development, and performance management for all press department team members.
