About The Position

SAIC seeks an experienced and energetic Principle Test Engineer to directly support the modernization of the space launch ranges, meeting mission requirements, providing range capabilities, and supporting the Assured Access to Space (AATS) mission. The overarching purpose of the program is to perform system modernization and digital transformation projects that will enable the acceleration of the space launch cadence to enable the Spaceport of the future.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree at min 9 years of experience; master’s degree and 7 years or more experience; 7 years with masters
• Must have min secret clearance
• Familiarity or experience with Agile software development methodologies, i.e., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe.
• Experience interfacing with and presenting to government customers.
• Experience with government / similar policies, regulations, standards, and procedures
• Experience in using Systems Engineering tools, such as DOORS, Rational Quality Manager, and JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Lead Testers for Hardware/Network/Software developmental testing of COTS solutions.
• Document test requirements and verification methodologies in the requirements management system. Develop comprehensive Test Plans/Procedures/Results supporting hardware and software capability and integration testing.
• Support system/element level test planning and test readiness reviews.
• Identify Lessons Learned from testing and provide risks and mitigation strategies
