Principle Process Manager (Labor and Capacity Strategist) Intelligent Foundations & Experiences (IFX) is a powerful collective of horizontal technology organizations that are driving Capital One’s real-time intelligent future. Together with our partners in the Enterprise and across lines of business, we deliver broad-reaching technical solutions and advance state-of-the-art science to help every Capital One associate and our 100+M customers succeed. As a Labor and Capacity Strategist at Capital One you will serve as a dedicated strategic partner and single point of accountability for all labor, talent, and organizational health outcomes for a specific technology organization (Tower) within IFX. This role is critical in driving IFX business objectives through a cost-optimized workforce strategy, ensuring the right talent is available at the right cost and time, and maximizing organizational value within budgetary constraints. What You’ll Do: Strategic Capacity Planning & Workforce Alignment: Conduct the initial review and strategic challenge of all new FTE, contract, and vendor resource requests for the Tower. Ensure every request aligns to a documented business roadmap and the strategic 'build vs. buy vs. borrow' model, which directly informs and maintains the rolling 3-5 year workforce plan. Talent Acquisition Optimization: Partner with Tower leadership to finalize role specifications and formally prioritize requisitions for the Talent Acquisition pipeline. Ensure recruitment efforts are focused on high-leverage roles critical to value creation and establish core data to monitor and reduce time-to-hire and cost-per-hire metrics. Labor Expense Governance & Efficiency: Conduct monthly analysis of actual labor spend (FTE & contingent) versus the planned budget and report deviations. Provide the input for real-time corrective action and data required for Efficiency & Productivity Analysis to link labor cost to operational output (KPIs), which is the bedrock of rigorous fiscal oversight. Talent Pipeline Development & Readiness: Drive the local execution of IFX-wide horizontal programs (e.g., Certified Interviewer Program, upskilling cohort rollout). Ensure the global investment in upskilling/reskilling and internal mobility is realized locally, mitigating external talent risk and maximizing the utilization of existing, valuable talent. Diagnostic and Predictive Analytics: Aggregate and analyze Tower-specific organizational health data (attrition, engagement, performance scores) and prepare for leadership review. Fuel the team’s ability to diagnose and treat systemic organizational issues and develop predictive models to anticipate talent flight risk and burnout.
