Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principle Process Engineer to join the Rocket Motor Case Engineering team in Clearfield , Utah . Role Description & Responsibilities: Provide support of manufacturing personnel for a variety of manufacturing processes Develop and maintain detailed work instructions for assigned products/processes Coordinates with Design Engineering on design and manufacturability issues Coordinates with production on day to day activities. Assists in the resolution of processing issues Evaluate and aid in the disposition of discrepant hardware Troubleshoots existing processes to improve safety, quality, cost, and efficiency Analyze processing data to highlight trends and implement corrective actions Maintains manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: Medical, Dental & Vision coverage 401k Educational Assistance Life Insurance Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions Paid Time Off Health & Wellness Resources Employee Discounts This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in STEM : Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering or related engineering degree
  • 5 years of experience or 3 years with Master's degree
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in working with aerospace specifications and drawings, both hard copy and model-based
  • Experience with insulation/rubber processes
  • Experience with materials and composite winding processes
  • Experience with machining processes
  • Experience with hardware installation processes
  • Experience supporting an aerospace manufacturing process with the necessary materials, tooling, and equipment
  • Experience authoring, modifying, and auditing manufacturing procedures
  • Knowledge of root cause / corrective action processes and techniques

Responsibilities
