In Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions, we provide next-generation threat detection and countermeasure solutions to provide unparalleled electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role, it will be performed fulltime on site in Merrimack, NH. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to develop laser, electro-optic, and infrared systems for our defense aerospace customers. The successful candidate will Initially support production of programs with the Integrated Survivability business line. Responsibilities will include obsolescence management, test stand hardware and software maintenance and upgrades, ownership of test procedures, and lab coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience with Systems engineering principles and previous, hands on work with lasers or electro-optics systems. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM field with 6+ years of related experience; or Master's degree and 4+ years of related experience
  • Must possess an Active Secret Clearance and be eligible for a SAP/SAR Clearance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers in other disciplines
  • Experience with integration and test of electro-optics systems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the full Systems Engineering lifecycle
  • Specific skills within the domains of active EO/IR, passive EO/IR or Electronic Warfare (EW)
  • Executing tasks in Agile Environments (Sprints, Daily Scrums, Retrospectives)
  • Experience with MBSE Digital Engineering and SysML applications/tools like MagicDraw
