About The Position

Sacred Heart Catholic School seeks a visionary leader to serve as Principal, offering a rare opportunity to shape the spiritual and intellectual heart of a dynamic Catholic community. The Principal will guide a dedicated faculty in forming students who are academically excellent, deeply rooted in the Catholic faith, and engaged in innovative, hands-on learning—from a Montessori foundation to competitive robotics and vocational trades. As leader of a ministry of Sacred Heart Parish, the Principal serves as a driver of educational and spiritual growth, you will cultivate a culture of discipleship and academic distinction. You will have the mandate to inspire innovation in the classroom while upholding the timeless traditions of Catholic education within the Diocese of Fort Worth. As Principal, you will oversee a vibrant academic environment characterized by: Focused Learning Environments: Small class sizes that allow for true mentorship, differentiated instruction, and a close-knit "school family" atmosphere. Comprehensive Educational Span: Leadership oversight of a diverse curriculum, including a Montessori Pre-K program and a college-preparatory high school. Innovative Programs: A premier Robotics program that participates in regional/state competitions and a high school Vocational Shop teaching five distinct trades. Engaged Clergy: As a ministry of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, our clergy are deeply committed to the flourishing of Sacred Heart School; our Pastor teaches Senior Religion and one of our Deacons instructs high school Calculus, ensuring deep spiritual and intellectual integration.

Requirements

  • Faith: A practicing Catholic in good standing with a profound commitment to Catholic education.
  • Education: Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven track record in classroom instruction and administrative leadership (Catholic school experience preferred).
  • Certification: Valid Texas administrator’s certificate (or eligibility for certification).

Responsibilities

  • Spiritual Leadership: Ensure the school’s Catholic identity permeates all aspects of campus life. Foster a community of prayer, liturgical participation, and service among students and staff.
  • Instructional Excellence: Drive a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum. Mentor faculty through professional development and performance evaluation to ensure high-impact teaching.
  • Strategic Enrollment & Advancement: Partner with the pastor and wider parish community to share the school’s story, driving enrollment growth and securing the resources necessary for a thriving future.
  • Operational Stewardship: Oversee the school’s financial health, including budget management, facility safety, and compliance with diocesan and TCCED (Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops Education Department) standards.
  • Community Engagement: Serve as the chief ambassador to parents, alumni, and the parish, building a cohesive and supportive "school family."
