About The Position

We are currently seeking a Principal Water/Wastewater Conveyance Engineer in our San Antonio, TX or Austin, TX offices to help us lead a team and grow their expertise and technical knowledge of water/wastewater conveyance design and construction support services. The Principal Water/Wastewater Conveyance Engineer will be a critical member of our team and will be expected to execute and manage projects, engage in client development and winning more exciting and challenging projects throughout the Texas market. This role sits within our Resilience global business area, where we work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Requirements

12 or more years of related industry experience in the water/wastewater field.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
PE License in Texas (or ability to obtain TX PE within 6 months).

Nice To Haves

20+ years of related industry experience.
Master’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Manage a diverse portfolio of projects for various clients across the region, coordinating multi-disciplined engineering teams to deliver outstanding results.
Overseeing project budgets and delivery schedules
Leading project teams to ensure all deliverables are met
Providing technical leadership throughout the planning, design, and construction phases of water and wastewater, distribution and collection systems, lift stations and pumping stations.
Preparing construction documents, developing specifications, and managing construction oversight and administration.
Supporting positioning and capture strategies, and contributing to proposal and presentation efforts for Water/Wastewater Conveyance Design projects.
Collaborating with Area Leaders and client Account Leaders to define project scopes and fee estimates, manage risks, identify project staff, and ensure projects are set up for successful and profitable delivery.
Coordinating with Arcadis’ industry-leading technical advisors in water and wastewater hydraulic modeling and facility design
Contributing to strategic planning with clients for water/wastewater treatment plants, stormwater systems, distribution and collection systems, and pump/lift stations.
Mentoring junior engineers and technical staff, support the work of others, and ensure compliance with all Arcadis practices, quality, and safety standards.
