About The Position

The Technical Systems Education Analyst is primarily responsible for building and maintaining the EMR training environment. They are responsible for updating and modifying all training materials, including lesson plans, exercise books, job aids, simulations and scenarios in MST and in production. They are deeply familiar with the EMR environment and well-versed in all applications so that they can, with high quality, credential and cross train educators on assigned applications. The Technical Systems Education Analyst works closely with the Epic Analysts to ensure alignment in system updates and other application enhancements. They audit educators during facilitation, offering feedback, suggestions, and when necessary, a remediation plan. They are highly skilled in understanding and working in the Epic Application Curriculum and Epic Application training environment. Because of their mastery of the applications, programs and training materials, they are adept at trouble shooting issues and providing viable and valuable solutions. They are responsible for training end users, when needed. Other responsibilities include rebuilding and refreshing MST environment, managing and owning Application Parking Lot, maintaining Template Training requirement crosswalk process and maintaining the Training Schedule and Catalogue.

Requirements

  • Education - High School diploma or post-high school degree earned.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred - General Education, Information Sciences, Business Management, Training and Development, Clinical Informatics, Project Management or related area of expertise.
  • Experience - Two (2) years as an Educator or Trainer in adult healthcare or general education/training experience.
  • Two (2) years in a medical office or healthcare facility training setting preferred.
  • One (1) year of training on EMR preferred.
  • Upon hire, educator must meet the recommended training requirements documented as Prisma Health and/or Epic’s best practice.
  • Credentialing in assigned applications and other required administrative work and coursework must be obtained within eight weeks of assignment. Failure to do so could result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database, Microsoft Office)
  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
  • Mathematical skills
  • Skill and experience in adult education
  • Proven experience in systems facilitation
  • Experience developing or enhancing curricula and workflows

Responsibilities

  • Delivers end user training for all EMR system applications (New team members and implementations) and other organization-wide systems programs
  • Assists in auditing and enhancing EMR application curricula for new team member delivery.
  • Provides ATE training for providers and other appointed clinicians.
  • Collaborates with SMES in their assigned applications to ensure updated content and to enhance relationships.
  • Completes quarterly presentation audit of assigned applications with team.
  • Helps develop and deploy virtual and eLearning tips on assigned applications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
