We are thought leaders in the application of seeker, guidance, and control technologies for precision munitions, and we have a place for you as a Principal Test Software Engineer at our Nashua or Hudson New Hampshire facility. We are looking for a talented Principal Software Engineer to help us create the world’s most advanced solutions in precision guided munitions and missiles. We develop and incorporate algorithms along with real-time state machines to help our customers achieve their mission. Our software implementations transform GPS, radar, and infrared signals to enable weapons to precisely find their target and keep our warfighters safe as they execute their missions. This role will be responsible for integrating test hardware and software during development and support for production test equipment. As a Principal Software Engineer for PGSS, responsibilities of the job will include but not be limited to: Developing software for product test applications Focusing on continuous improvement opportunities for the test processes Having the opportunity to provide input on Prime Mission equipment design – Design for Test Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Requirements

  • Typically a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (preferred) or Electrical Engineering with at least 4 years of applicable experience
  • C# experience
  • C / C++ experience
  • Ability to Troubleshoot System Software/Hardware Problems

Nice To Haves

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with UI/UX design and implementation
  • Experience with Test Stand
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Experience in US defense industry manufacturing operations is highly desirable for this position
  • Secret Security Clearance (active within the last two years)
