The Role We are hiring an AI-forward Principal Technical Recruiter to join Overjet’s stellar talent team and help scale our high-growth organization. Our ideal candidate is a Principal-level technical recruiting expert with a proven track record hiring top-tier Bay Area engineering talent, including senior, staff, and director-level roles. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience recruiting top-tier Bay Area technical talent (engineering, data, and product), with a proven track record hiring senior, staff, and director-level roles in hyper-growth environments.
  • Proven experience recruiting across both technical (engineering, data, product) and non-technical (sales, customer success, marketing) roles in a hyper-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated strength in critical thinking and root cause analysis, with the ability to turn insights into scalable solutions.
  • Track record of experimenting with AI tools and data to source, assess, and engage candidates—or curiosity and commitment to rapidly get there.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills; trusted by candidates and business partners alike.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort with modern recruiting tech stack (Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, Findem, G Suite) or the ability to ramp on new tools with velocity.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven environments where ownership and excellence are expected, and growth is the goal.
  • Strong academic background and a growth mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Drive full-lifecycle recruiting across technical and non-technical roles with a bias for velocity and quality.
  • Partner with hiring managers and executive leaders to own talent strategy, scale teams effectively, and anticipate future needs.
  • Apply analytical problem-solving to identify bottlenecks, uncover root causes, and design solutions that improve recruiting outcomes.
  • Experiment with AI-driven sourcing and workflow enhancements to elevate excellence in pipeline quality, recruiter productivity, and candidate experience.
  • Deliver a world-class candidate experience, ensuring every candidate leaves impressed with Overjet, regardless of outcome.
  • Ensure operational excellence in Ashby (ATS) and across systems, hitting and improving key recruiting KPIs (e.g., time-to-fill under 60 days for technical roles).
  • Build expertise in AI and software talent markets, while staying ahead of emerging recruiting trends.
  • Continuously identify and drive process improvements that reflect ownership, velocity, and growth.
