About The Position

Duties: Lead and manage comprehensive operational excellence reviews, focusing on process optimization, risk mitigation, and performance enhancement across the People Tech Platform. Drive the development and execution of program roadmaps and schedules across multiple workstreams Track progress through setting up the appropriate cadences and report progress against OKRs to teams, cross functional stakeholders, and Walmart leadership. Develop and execute strategic plans to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness, aligning with organizational goals and industry best practices. Collaborate with engineering, product management, HR, and other cross-functional teams to identify and address operational challenges, ensuring seamless integration and alignment of processes. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing innovative solutions and leveraging data-driven decision-making to enhance operational workflows and outcomes. The People Tech Platform encompasses both platform development and operational teams, which serve a horizontal function across the entire People Technology organization. The role is committed to initiatives that enhance the reliability, stability, and security of human resources applications and services. The role is centered on optimizing procedures, reporting, and best practices to improve incident response times, proactively evaluate incident management, and identify performance risks related to system availability. Additionally, the role focuses on change management to mitigate data security risks. To execute change management, the role develops cyclical processes and reporting structures that create awareness and accountability across teams. This involves continually analyzing improvement opportunities to enhance system performance. The role holds working sessions with subject matter experts and engineers to define detailed action plans, approaches, and delivery roadmaps, ensuring each project is successfully completed. By fostering collaboration and maintaining a structured approach to project management, the role plays a crucial role in optimizing product reliability, reducing risks, and improving overall efficiencies. This position does not supervise other employees.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), Business Administration, or related field and 4 years of post-bachelor’s progressively responsible experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), Business Administration, or related field and 6 years of post-bachelor’s progressively responsible experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
  • Experience creating design architecture and flowcharts diagrams using UML and Visio.
  • Experience with MYSQL database.
  • Experience creating Power BI reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards which will provide valuable insights for apps and improve decision-making.
  • Experience creating Tableau reports to utilize health data and create interactive dynamic visualization metrics.
  • Experience creating macros with Microsoft Excel and using Microsoft Office Tools software including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to create meaningful presentations.
  • Experience with agile methodology using JIRA to administer and manage sprint teams and create Kanban and executive sprint dashboards for daily scrum, planning, and reporting.
  • Experience with IBM WebSphere Commerce 6 and WebSphere Application server.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Experience with Web services SOAP and REST API.
  • Experience setting up alerts and building dashboards from Splunk.
  • Experience creating test suites using Postman.
