About The Position

About ToolsGroup ToolsGroup is a global leader in supply chain planning and optimization. We help companies plan with confidence by unifying probabilistic forecasting, advanced optimization, and real-time orchestration to drive resilience, service, and profitability. Our portfolio powers retailers, distributors, and manufacturers around the world—earning repeated recognition by industry analysts for our Supply Chain Planning Solutions, differentiated by probabilistic forecasting and inventory-aware demand shaping capabilities. The Opportunity The supply chain world is undergoing its most profound shift in decades. Agentic AI—autonomous, reasoning, action-taking systems—is accelerating toward mainstream adoption. Gartner projects that by 2030, roughly half of supply chain solutions will embed intelligent agents that execute decisions in real time. ToolsGroup is investing to lead the next era: decision-centric planning, where systems not only predict but act. This is a rare opportunity to shape a first-of-its-kind product area inside a market-leading planning platform. You will join an elite, senior team working at startup velocity inside an established company—building foundational capabilities that will define how planners work for the next decade. The Role As a [[Senior / Principal]] Technical Product Manager for Agentic AI, you will own ToolsGroup’s Agentic AI strategy and drive the first wave of agentic capabilities across our Supply Chain Planning portfolio. This includes: Defining and owning the long-term Agentic AI strategy for ToolsGroup Leading the Zero-to-One discovery and delivery of our initial Agentic AI releases for planners, from concept → prototype → GA Owning the Agentic Development Platform that powers these agents—enabling our internal product teams (and eventually business partners) to build, deploy, and monitor autonomous, human-in-the-loop agents Working inside a high-caliber, high-velocity incubation team with direct access to design, ML/engineering, field, and executive leadership Managing outcomes—not people, while operating with executive visibility and significant growth potential This is both a strategic and deeply hands-on role. You will be the connective tissue between engineering, ML, design, and the field—turning ambiguous ideas into clear product direction, working prototypes, and production systems that customers trust.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years in Product Management, with Zero-to-One product delivery in ML/AI-heavy domains
  • Experience with Agentic AI, autonomous planning systems, or control-plane design experience (build->embed->manage)
  • Experience shipping LLM-based products, ideally with tool-use/function calling, orchestration, grounding/RAG, evaluation frameworks, and safety guardrails
  • Demonstrated success in high-velocity environments, incubation teams, or startup-like product groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication—clear, concise, executive-ready

Nice To Haves

  • Strong systems intuition across supply chain planning (S&OP/S&OE, forecasting, allocation, replenishment, production, logistics) or adjacent decision systems
  • Understanding of ERP/WMS/TMS/APS integrations and operational workflows
  • Comfort with probabilistic models, optimization, and ML operations
  • Prior work building development platforms or internal-facing shared services

Responsibilities

  • Own the Agentic AI strategy, roadmap, and north-star outcomes across ToolsGroup’s planning suite
  • Define the agentic capability model: reasoning, tool-use, guardrails, evaluation, telemetry, and human-in-the-loop controls
  • Translate market signals, customer interviews, executive direction, and discovery insights into clear, compelling product bets
  • Lead rapid, iterative discovery to shape the first planner-facing agents
  • Prototype with ML/engineering to validate feasibility, value, and trust requirements
  • Define and instrument evaluation suites for task success, safety, and regression
  • Own PRDs, experience flows, instrumentation, and rollout plans
  • Partner with engineering/ML to define the platform capabilities enabling agent creation (tool-use APIs, orchestration patterns, evaluation harnesses, governance frameworks)
  • Ensure the platform is usable by internal product teams—and extensible to partners over time
  • Establish conventions for prompt/policy design, grounding/RAG, safety constraints, and action workflows
  • Work side-by-side with design to define intuitive agent–planner interaction models
  • Partner with the field to identify lighthouse customers, shape pilots, and gather feedback
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales enablement to tell a clear agentic value story
  • Operate with high velocity while maintaining trust, safety, and enterprise-grade rigor
