Principal Systems Engineer
About The Position
GliaCell is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract. As a Systems Engineer at you will be joining an exciting mission centered around providing visualization and presentation services for the prototyping, development, and production of analytic tools. The team is responsible for reverse engineering 40 databases to create a universal model database so that data can be sorted, found, and analyzed efficiently. You will work on a small team to provide impactful contributions to a supportive customer. This role is key to the successful migration of business data from legacy systems to a new platform.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- An active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is REQUIRED.
- 20+ years of experience as an SE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- 5 years of additional SE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Works well independently as well as on a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with database design and modeling
- Experience utilizing SQL within relational database systems (e.g., Oracle, Postgres)
- Experience reverse engineering systems in both front-end and back-end capacities
- Experience with data analysis and visualization, data normalization and cleansing, and data security
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Oracle
- Knowledge of existing BM&A systems
