Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. We are seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities (SETC) team. The successful candidate will work to develop solutions to solve customer needs by providing customized engineering services and products for unique customer missions. This position is an onsite role, and the selected applicant will work with the hiring manager to set schedule.

Requirements

  • Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (8) or more years of prior relevant experience as a Principal Systems Engineer, including software requirements analysis, system design, implementation, integration, verification and validation.
  • United States Citizen as this position will need a US Security Clearance within 1 year of start date

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with V-22 platform, including its design, operation, systems, and applications. Familiarity may include working on projects involving the V-22, supporting its development, maintenance, or integration, or collaborating with teams that focus on this platform.
  • Collaboration and written communication skills to engage and convey information to both internal teams and external customers.
  • Model Base Systems engineering (MBSE)
  • Working knowledge of CAMEO, SYSML and DOORs
  • Agile development environment using Azure DevOps or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Develop and document requirements and interfaces, design analysis, modeling and simulation, system integration and trade studies
  • Coordinate with a cross-discipline team to meet customer/mission planning requirements
  • Statement Of work (SOW) compliance through developing, documenting, and executing system verification
  • Integrate software and hardware subsystems
  • Follow a structured data driven approach to solve problems
  • Contribute to the completion of project/program milestones with little oversight
  • Follow established SE processes and procedures
  • Provide input and guidance to lower-level engineers with tasks and assignments. work closely in a multi-disciplined team daily
  • Deliver high-quality results by meeting project milestones on schedule while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
