Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field
  • 8+ years of systems engineering experience in avionics or safety-critical embedded systems
  • Must have experience with integrating and troubleshooting systems using MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429 & Ethernet
  • Experience in avionics or defense systems design, development, and integration
  • Experience applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles
  • Experience developing system architecture models using SysML (e.g., Cameo, Rhapsody, or similar tools)
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing requirements including traceability and verification
  • Experience authoring system/subsystem design documentation that drives software implementation
  • Experience developing and executing system-level and HIL test procedures
  • Strong understanding of requirements verification and validation processes
  • Experience troubleshooting integrated HW/SW systems in a lab environment
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to work onsite 100%
  • Ability to travel 10%

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Agile methodologies
  • Experience designing and architecting avionics systems
  • Experience as a lead engineer
  • Proficient with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.)
  • Experience in DO-178C / DO-254 or other safety-critical development environments
  • Experience supporting certification efforts
  • Experience with MIL-ACAS, CAPS/SKE systems
  • Solid understanding of configuration management principles
