The Intelligence Systems and Operational Engineering Department (N935), within the MITRE Intelligence Center, applies broad national and strategic engineering and operational expertise and deep understanding of our Sponsors' mission challenges to develop and advance complex human and technical solutions which enable present and future success from tactical to enterprise levels. We develop and apply innovative engineering solutions, thought leadership, and evidence-based recommendations that deliver high impact to our Sponsors’ missions, and we shape and grow the future MITRE intelligence workforce through engineering development. Roles & Responsibilities: MITRE is looking for a Principal Systems Engineer role that will be supporting multiple classified infrastructures as well as standalone environments. This role will require knowledge of implementing and maintaining NIST 800-53 Security Controls / RMF compliance in each environment along with additional security lockdowns if required and ensure the accreditation is enforced and in compliance in all environments. Provide technical evaluations for hardware/software acquisitions and architecture Work with various sponsor organizations, FFRDCs, and contractors to ensure long-term network architecture meets projected needs The successful candidate will, in addition to providing top level technical support and vision, provide subject matter expertise across several government offices
