The Surface Supply Chain organization is responsible for delivering the right products to customers at the right time, cost, and quality—supporting a global, highly complex hardware portfolio. We partner closely across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to plan, build, and deliver Surface devices through demand planning, supply execution, materials management, and logistics. The Principal Supply Chain Architect is responsible for designing, evolving, and scaling end‑to‑end supply chain processes, systems, and data architectures to enable resilient, efficient, and insight‑driven operations. This role operates at the intersection of business strategy, process design, data analytics, and technology—translating complex signals into clear insights and action‑oriented decision support across demand, supply, materials, logistics, and reverse flows. The Principal Supply Chain Architect partners closely with the leaders, planners, engineering, and analytics teams to define target‑state architectures, simplify complex workflows, and embed advanced analytics, scenario modeling, and AI‑assisted decisioning into core supply chain operations. Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
