About The Position

To provide summer school leadership and a school environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with pupils; to motivate pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good educational background in accordance with each pupil's ability; to establish good relationships with parents and other staff members.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
A valid Colorado Teaching Certificate
Five years or more of teaching experience

Nice To Haves

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred
A valid Colorado Administrator/Principal Certificate or enrolled in an administrative program preferred
Preference will be given to applicants in a leadership program - or - applicants who possess an administrators certification who are not currently employed as an administrator.

Responsibilities

Hiring of secretary, teachers, para educators
Review and finalize course offerings and registration packets
Courses to include remediation and enrichment
Distribution of packets
On-going communication with buildings about enrollment and numbers
Monitor the registration process
Schedule classes and students
Organizing the supplies and materials
Provide and arrange professional training schedule for staff
1 full day .5 meeting and .5 set up and planning
Create a process for assessment and data collection
Tracking to include achievement, attendance and discipline date
Organize a system for observation and feedback for instruction
Identify a pool of guest teachers
Responsible for daily operations during SLI
Leadership, management, discipline, and parent communication
Transportation (work in concert with transportation and parents to ensure student safety and wellbeing)
Special Education (work in concert with district level Special Programs Administrators in ESY service delivery and center based plans)
Prepare a summary of SLI outcomes and highlights from your site
