Principal Machine Learning Engineer
About The Position
We're seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer specializing in LLMs and autonomous agents and agentic AI to join our AI team. You'll be instrumental in developing and deploying intelligent agent systems that can understand context, make decisions, and execute complex tasks across our platform. The GenAI Engineering Team is committed to revolutionizing productivity in communication platforms through the delivery of AI Companion innovations. We are passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technology to drive significant advancements in how people communicate and collaborate.
Requirements
- Hold academic qualifications in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of experience in ML engineering, including production-level systems.
- Demonstrate expertise in working with large language models, NLP, and transformer-based architectures.
- Demonstrate experience using python or Java and frameworks such as PyTorch, Transformers, and LangChain.
- Have experience with cloud infrastructure stack (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS).
- Demonstrate good communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to thrive in a cross-functional environment.
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing agent architectures that can reason about tasks, plan actions, and execute solutions.
- Building and maintaining LLM powered services using models like GPT-4, Claude, and internal models.
- Optimizing model infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Establishing safety measures and oversight protocols for independent systems.
- Collaborating across teams to integrate AI capabilities into Zoom’s products
