Raytheon’s System Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors (SR&S) Center is seeking is seeking a Principal Specialist Senior Trainer, to ensure our customers receive training on time and within budget. You will be responsible for providing training to the US Army and other customers, at their locations. You will take a proactive role in resolving training challenges by diagnosing issues, driving corrective actions, and partnering with program management and engineering teams to ensure schedule and budget goals are met.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a university Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with radar hardware, such as but not limited to: troubleshooting, maintenance, and/or repair.
  • Experience with test equipment, technical manuals, fault isolation procedures, and/or root‑cause analysis methods.
  • Experience interacting with military customers and/or government representatives.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles, and/or LEAN, CORE, ACE, or Six-Sigma training.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work independently in customer‑facing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on‑site program representative, planning and executing installation, repair, and testing activities in alignment with customer specifications.
  • Provide operations and maintenance training to end users as well as future domestic and international instructors.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, logistics, and program leadership.
  • Apply innovative problem‑solving approaches to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership
  • Travel approximately 50% of the time, typically in multi‑week increments (3–4 weeks). Most travel will be domestic, with limited international travel as required.
  • Primarily support 1st‑shift operations, with occasional 2nd‑shift work during training events.
