For over 70 years, RTX BBN Technologies (BBN) has been solving challenging problems through research, exploration, development, and prototyping. BBN’s Non-Kinetic Capabilities and Technologies (NCT) team leverages computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, math, and physics to tackle customer challenges in electromagnetic warfare (EW), communications, cybersecurity, cyberspace operations, networking, and artificial intelligence (AI). Position Overview: BBN is looking for a forward-thinking and self-motivated candidate to ensure research and capability development projects are executed within budget, on time, and meeting or exceeding customer requirements. You are the ideal candidate if you can identify and complete independent reviews and assessments of project performance, including independent programmatic assessments of lessons learned, industry best practices, and technology development execution metrics (cost, schedule, quality and risks); are a strong writer and communicator; can identify and forge connections between stakeholder opportunities; and a strong background supporting cutting edge research and prototyping activities in support of our customers mission (e.g., DARPA, IARPA, DoD Service Labs, IC research organizations) to help further U.S. National Security Objectives and the betterment of society.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in supporting S&T program management offices such as at DARPA or service Labs, providing strategic oversight and operational control for a diverse collection of advanced, mission-critical projects
  • Active TS clearance with SCI

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated proficiency in OSW/R&E research and development project analysis and evaluation executing across complex security environments including advanced programs
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across diverse geographic locations and organizational levels
  • Broad understanding of government customer base current and emerging needs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including coordinating and facilitating internal and external communications on a wide range of subjects, including internal and external tasks, program reviews, and customer meetings
  • Experience supporting Advanced Projects technology development programs
  • Experience transitioning or integrating advanced technologies and capabilities into customer systems

Responsibilities

  • Oversee full project lifecycle, schedules, budgets, and cross-functional execution
  • Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS); perform critical path and variance analysis
  • Track project status, resolve issues, and report progress to stakeholders and customers
  • Collaborate with technical SMEs, PMs, and PIs to align research efforts with program and customer goals
  • Lead proposal development, business development, and program execution activities
  • Support technology development through prototyping, demonstrations, and transition to customers
  • Handle complex technical work in dynamic, high-security environments
  • Build partnerships with industry and academia to support program success
  • Coordinate across RTX business units to enable technology transition and product integration
  • Represent organization to customers through delivery of advanced research initiatives
