About The Position

Collins Aerospace, a leader in technologically advanced solutions, is seeking a Program Support Specialist for its Integrated Platforms Program Management Office (PMO) in Richardson, TX. This individual will support the Project Iris Program team in all activities related to the pursuit, order, capture, and execution of existing and future programs. The role emphasizes supporting development and execution, as well as assisting program execution teams with tasks such as managing portions of program execution, financial reporting, customer interaction, subcontract management support, global trade, material statusing, NDA management, customer deliverable management, risk and opportunity management, data collection and analysis, and coordinating with the core program team. The position requires coordination across the Collins shared services business model and collaborative relationships with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Contracts, Supply Chain, Quality, and IPP&C (Finance) points of contact in various onsite, hybrid, and remote environments. Successful candidates are expected to be team players, mission-oriented, effective communicators, persistent, detail-oriented multitaskers, analytical, decisive, and possess good judgment.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

  • Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Prior Leadership experience and ability to lead IPTs through ambiguity and short deadlines
  • Prior external customer support/interface experience

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing portions of complex development and production programs and proposals under the guidance of a senior program manager.
  • Knowledge of industry practices and standards and use of professional concepts.
  • Applies functional or technical principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Receives minimal instruction on day-to-day work assignments.
  • Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise on issues.
  • Represents organization as a prime contact on key issues.
