About The Position

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Specialist, Industrial Engineer to lead and elevate Industrial Engineering strategy across all three Everett site businesses: Cabin Integration, Lavatories, and Waste & Water Solutions. This highly visible role plays a critical part in driving operational excellence, enabling scalable growth, and improving both production performance and business results across a complex, multi-product manufacturing environment. This role is eligible for relocation. As an Industrial Engineering Principle, the candidate hired for this position will report directly to the Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering leader for the site and will be expected to be able to: Operate autonomously with limited managerial oversight. Coach, lead and mentor the rest of the Industrial Engineering team. Navigate the complex nature of the wide range of products and production rates the three site businesses produce. Working with and support the Everett site leadership team on projects and strategy in addition to measurements and improvements Deliver improvement results in both the production and business portions of the Everett site businesses.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • This position requires U.S. citizenship, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Nice To Haves

  • Both high and low-rate production experience, experience with aerospace preferred
  • Expert level experience in implementing production techniques such as Lean Manufacturing/Theory of Constraints
  • Experience in working with the Manufacturing and Resource Planning (MRP) system SAP. (System Applications and Products)
  • Experience with Data analytics, tableau preferred
  • Process capability assessments
  • AutoCAD Experience with capitalization of assets

Responsibilities

  • Production capacity analysis and level-loading in highly variable production commodities
  • Factory labor standards and labor standard assessment processes
  • Inventory reduction through product flow improvement and predictive scheduling.
  • Factory layout changes and accounting
  • Capital planning and accounting
  • Capacity analysis and requirements for production support staffing.
  • Additional efforts that the candidate determines are necessary to the business.
