We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Specialist, Contacts , who will be responsible for proposal preparation and negotiation as well as contract management as well as advising and/or representing Raytheon on contract negotiations. We are offering a Sign-On bonus for this role!

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Experience in leading and/or administering U.S. Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and / or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)
  • Experience working Sole Source and Competitive Proposals

  • Ability to Multi-task with routine and complex contract/proposal activities while responding to emerging quick response activities
  • Experience with direct engagement with external customers
  • Experience with Contracts administration and negotiation of proposals and contracts of medium to high complexity
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders, including customers and leadership teams
  • Mature judgment, proactive involvement in strategic issues and problem resolution skills

Responsibilities

  • Participation in the review, analysis, and negotiation of Terms and Conditions
  • Perform proposal management and business risk mitigation
  • Prepare customer proposal submittals including offer letters, representations and certifications, and other RFP documentation as required
  • Draft, interpret, and manage contract documents in support of Contracts and Business Unit
  • Facilitate and ensure communication and coordination with the internal/external customer program team
  • Adhere to and comply with standardized corporate procedures and compliance documentation
  • Disseminate (“Flowdown”) customer contractual requirements within the organization
  • Act as liaison between internal and external customers and respond to stakeholder inquires in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work autonomously with oversight
  • Contract closeout activities including material and property dispositioning, patent reporting and final invoicing
