The Configuration Management and Data Management (CMDM) organization is responsible for ensuring our products are under configuration control and delivered on time. The CDM Organization consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices, and our customers. The Configuration and Data Management Department is seeking a Principal Configuration Management Specialist, located onsite in Tucson, AZ. What You Will Do Lead the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, verification and accounting for systems and equipment in accordance with contractual requirements. Establish procedures for and implement the introduction of changes to engineering documents for an assigned program and represent the functional group in the implementation of common processes. Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities (including classified support). Ensures implementation of customer and internal configuration management requirements Manage change and status accounting activities to ensure compliance with contractual and configuration management policies. Establish and control configuration identification processes and baselines.

Requirements

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
Typically requires at least 5 years of Configuration Management experience
Experience with MSOffice (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Experience with technology and computing tools (PDM-Product Data Management, SAP, or similar tools)
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Identify potential complex problems associated with technical engineering data, regarding configuration management issues, and take corrective action as needed.
