Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. This is a Physical Security Specialist position with an emphasis on Locksmithing and Secure Area Construction. Responsibilities include implementation and compliance with all US Government and Raytheon security requirements. Incumbent will be responsible for providing all aspects of lock & key services to the Raytheon Marlborough location, provide guidance and direction to Closed Area Custodians, Contractor Program Security Officers (CPSO), and Project Management for secured area construction projects. This role will coordinate with external and internal customers on physical security requirements, and interface with Raytheon management on major matters pertaining to the programs polices, plans, and objectives. Physical Security Specialist may also be required to support Raytheon off-site locations. This support may include travel to other Raytheon off-site locations. In addition, Physical Security Specialist may be required to respond to any Raytheon Marlborough location on an after-hour’s basis. You must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • 5 years’ experience in Security related position applying NISPOM, UL 2050, JAFAN 6/9, and/or ICD 705 requirements
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in business management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related major.
  • Possess a current, final TOP SECRET security clearance with an investigation not older than 6 years on the first day of employment.
  • Professional certifications i.e., Physical Security Professional (PSP), Physical Security Certification (PSC), Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC).
  • Ability to work effectively and comfortably with internal and external customers of all levels.
  • GSA Container Certification
  • Lock-Master’s LKM7000 and LKM10K Factory Certification

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for oversight of closed area compliance to ensure all aspects of customer requirements are being met (e.g. NISPOM, JAFAN 6/9, ICD 705, and UL 2050).
  • Reviews building construction/remodel design plans.
  • This person must be able to communicate vision and strategies effectively with both Raytheon leadership and strategic partners.
  • Changing combinations, rekeying, and repairing and installing a wide variety of safes, cipher, and commercial door lock hardware.
  • Develop and maintain keying systems for all RTX-Raytheon buildings and accurately maintaining critical lock & key records.
  • Develop and deliver lock operation training to groups of various sizes.
  • Collaborate with other security departments and facilities management to ensure compliance with NISPOM and other government requirements.
  • Plan, schedule and arrange activities in accomplishing objectives both within an individual and team environment
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds
  • Must be able to climb and work from ladders or elevated lifts
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Travel as required
