Our Sales team works closely with travel agencies, United travel departments, corporate clients and more to provide phenomenal customer solutions that lead to fruitful business relationships. And through valued customer feedback, optimized partnerships, and innovative sales strategies, Sales continues to be the largest revenue-generating department at United. Key Responsibilities: United’s worldwide passenger sales organization leverages Salesforce CRM to help it move their B2B relationships forward. This Salesforce role focuses on project management and system optimization, overseeing the full lifecycle of Salesforce initiatives from requirement gathering to deployment while partnering with DevOps teams for solution assessment. The Salesforce Principal also serves as the bridge between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring the Salesforce platform delivers maximum value through strategic project management, data excellence, and continuous process optimization. Note: This is a Chicago-based hybrid role, with in-office requirements 50% of the time. This role will also travel 10%-20% of the time (domestic and international).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Salesforce Admin Certification (or ability to obtain within the first 12 months of role)
  • 4+ years of Salesforce platform experience
  • Proven ability to understand and create Workflow and Process Maps
  • Knowledge of Salesforce AI and how to identify AI opportunities
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce best practices and functionality
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Computer Science
  • Salesforce Certifications (i.e., Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, AI Specialist)
  • 5+ years of IT experience
  • 3+ years of Salesforce Administrator experience

Responsibilities

  • Steer Salesforce projects through prioritization of new requests/ backlog, collecting/clarifying requirements, impact analysis, and partnering with the DevOps team for assessment of solutions.
  • Maintain CRM data quality through the identification, deletion, cleansing and update of inaccurate data.
  • This would also include guiding users with report/dashboard troubleshooting and creation
  • Advance the identification of process inefficiencies and automation opportunities to include process and workflow mapping.
  • Manage Salesforce (SFDC) core functionality in conjunction with offshore team including, but not limited to, troubleshooting system issues, bulk data import/export, creation/maintenance of documentation, optimize development & production deployments, and work with sales IT and outside vendors.
  • Partner with Sales Enablement team to create training and reference materials and provide training on system functionality and new features or enhancements as needed.
