About The Position

Johnson & Johnson is hiring for a Principal Salesforce Developer - Shockwave Medical to join our team located in Santa Clara, CA. Fueled by innovation at the intersection of biology and technology, we’re developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, more personalized treatments. Ready to join a team that’s pioneering the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Our Shockwave Medical portfolio aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque. Position Overview The Principal Salesforce Developer will assist in the technical aspects of the ongoing development of Shockwave’s Salesforce.com environment, in addition to other commercial platforms. The role will play a pivotal role in improving processes and adoption using the Force.com platform. This role will work closely with Commercial Operations, functional leaders, global organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes in Sale and Service Clouds. This role will be responsible for the execution of the day-to-day configuration and improvement of Sales tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience working in an IT environment.
  • 8+ years experience with Salesforce web languages (Apex, Visualforce, Aura components).
  • 3+ years experience with LWC (or other modern web technology such as React or Angular).

  • Salesforce.com Admin (ADM201) certified.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certified.
  • Agentforce certifications and knowledge.
  • Experience using Devops tools and version control systems for Salesforce (e.g. gearset, github, copado).
  • Experience in working with Salesforce.
  • Experience working in a SCRUM or Agile environment.
  • Exposure to Reporting platforms (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality as it pertains to various functions such as: lead tracking, opportunity pipeline, quotes, security models & account hierarchy, forms, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset with superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Administrator for all accounts/territories/system up time.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, business analysts, and quality assurance teams, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior developers and team members.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solution designs that align with best practices and scalability.
  • Develop custom interfaces, inputs, views, and client-side functionality using Lightning Web Components.
  • Write scalable, bulk-safe apex triggers, classes, and test classes according to business requirements.
  • Use Salesforce, VSCode and the Atlassian suite to manage source control and deployments.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the development team, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes.
  • Troubleshoot and debug existing processes, flows, and triggers.
  • Integrate Salesforce with other enterprise systems, third-party applications, and data sources using APIs, web services, and middleware. (e.g. Boomi, Oracle, Azure, etc).
  • Ensure data integrity and security during integration processes.
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests.
  • Assist with each release cycle to implement and deploy updates to existing applications and code.
  • Document technical designs, development activities, and configuration changes.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of Salesforce customizations and integrations.
  • Manage external consultants when necessary.
