About The Position

CharterUP is seeking a highly skilled and resourceful Principal Recruiter to operate as a strategic partner to the Head of Talent Acquisition. This role will function as a true extension of leadership, owning complex and high-impact searches across our Go-To-Market (GTM) organization while driving recruiting strategy, execution, and hiring outcomes. You will lead full-cycle recruiting for critical roles, including senior and leadership hires, while managing a meaningful requisition load. This is a fast-paced, high-expectation role that requires both high-volume execution and the ability to navigate ambiguous, hard-to-fill searches with precision. You will be trusted to operate with a high degree of autonomy, step into executive-level conversations, and influence hiring decisions at the highest levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with deep ownership of GTM hiring
  • Proven success building GTM teams across VP/Director/AE-level roles
  • Strong track record of building pipelines from scratch for hard-to-fill roles
  • Ability to convert passive talent into engaged candidates
  • Comfortable operating in senior-level conversations and influencing hiring decisions
  • Strong judgment on talent and business needs
  • Experience managing funnel metrics, pass-through rates, and time-to-fill
  • Strong ATS proficiency (Greenhouse preferred) and reporting discipline
  • High level of accountability and autonomy
  • Proactive in solving problems and driving hiring forward
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments with shifting priorities
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for complex and business-critical GTM roles, including senior and leadership hires
  • Build and execute targeted sourcing strategies for competitive and hard-to-fill talent markets
  • Build high-quality pipelines through outbound sourcing and disciplined funnel management
  • Maintain strong pass-through rates by setting a clear bar and qualifying effectively upfront
  • Work backward from aggressive hiring goals and timelines to deliver results
  • Partner directly with senior leaders to define hiring strategy and calibrate talent
  • Act as a proxy for the Head of Talent Acquisition in meetings and stakeholder conversations when needed
  • Manage a full requisition load across both high-volume and specialized roles
  • Support hiring sprints and scaling efforts across GTM as the business grows
  • Identify gaps in process and drive improvements across workflows, tooling, and reporting
  • Set a high standard for operational excellence across the recruiting function
