About The Position

The Principal Quality Engineer, Product and Process leads the charge in driving product and process quality across the organization by owning and facilitating cross-functional Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations. You will partner closely with manufacturing, engineering, and customer-facing teams to resolve production deviations, customer complaints, and quality events while ensuring issues are tracked to timely closure. This position will work onsite at our Pueblo, CO facility. Relocation Assistance is available.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Experience with leading root cause corrective action (RCCA) investigations and applying quality methodology and tools
  • Experience in process validation, statistical methods and analysis of large datasets

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma or Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
  • Experienced in 8D, quality tools, 5 Whys of Root Cause Analysis, and SPC analysis.
  • Ability to lead a cross-functional team and provide forecasting to reach established goals.
  • Ability to assimilate, analyze, and present data to leaders, customers, and peers.
  • Experiencing interfacing with internal and external customers as well as all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and lead cross-functional team in, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non-conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closure.
  • Implement projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving
  • Lead quality investigations related to production deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints.
  • Review and approve manufacturing process changes, validations, and product documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Zero, PFMEA, MPR projects and process optimization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on quality tools, methods, and statistical analysis.
