Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) sector is seeking a Principal Program Risk Management Analyst to join our team of qualified individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of the Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC). This position will serve on-site in the greater Baltimore, MD area . What You'll Get to Do: You will fill a role within a large business organization, and will support the senior Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Manager, and work with other program managers, engineers, and other stakeholders of the risk, issue, and opportunity management efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or a PhD from an accredited university with 0 years of relevant experience (An additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree).
  • Experience with risk and opportunity management standards and practices (i.e. tools, commercial risk management tools, etc).
  • Experience supporting Program or Project Management activities.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office software tools and systems, e.g. Excel, Teams, SharePoint.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Current active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph prior to start.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university.
  • Prior work experience in Aerospace & Defense.
  • Hands-on participation in risk, issue, and opportunity management on a large program or portfolio.
  • Awareness of Engineering management tools, such as DOORS or Cameo.
  • Familiarity with IMS and EV.
  • Experience with integrating risk mitigation plans into integrated master schedules.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principals (requirements definition analysis, etc).
  • Defense acquisition courses.
  • Familiarity with Project & Task Management tools: Jira, Confluence.
  • Clearance: Current active TS/SCI with recent Polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the definition, planning, organizing, directing and controlling risk and opportunity management efforts.
  • Evaluate and approves risk and opportunity handling approaches, mitigation plans and approves opportunity exploitation plans.
  • Coordinates with suppliers, vendors, higher level managers, and external Customers on general risk and opportunity metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the risk and opportunity management process and procedures.
  • Assure integration of the EVMS process with the risk and opportunity management process.
  • Inform and advises higher level management on critical project risks and mitigations.
  • Facilitate meetings and coordinate risks within a program.
  • Leads business development and proposal teams through Acquisition Key Decision Point milestones within the risk and opportunity management area.
