Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration preferred, risk management/insurance major or coursework and/or relevant continuing education/credentials desirable (e.g., ARM or CPCU) or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of six years of risk-related experience within a large public company risk management function and/or relevant insurance brokerage environment is required.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to travel up to 10 percent.
  • Must be willing to work in the CHQ office Monday through Friday during regular business hours and in emergency situations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage or support the worldwide property, casualty, marine and cargo insurance programs including all aspects of the annual renewals, policy audits, claims management and recovery, and cost allocations
  • Provide key support on other insurance programs, including aviation and cyber risk underwriting submission preparation, international placements, and cost allocations;
  • Administer General Dynamics’ Risk Management Information System (RMIS), by recommending, developing and deploying program enhancements, maintaining and updating data and creating reports;
  • Coordinate various business unit activities including responding to inquiries, contract reviews/compliance, certificate of insurance requests, and training/webinar efforts; and,
  • Other duties as assigned.
