About The Position

The Principal Project Engineer is responsible for driving the successful design, integration, and delivery of complex Materials Handling Engineering (MHE) projects across their full lifecycle for our new specialized team. This role blends technical expertise and industry best practices with strong program-management discipline, ensuring solutions meet performance, quality, safety, and scalability requirements while aligning with organizational strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field required.
  • 7+ years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design principles, project management, and industry regulations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within budget and schedule constraints
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience collaborating across engineering disciplines and with external contractors

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate engineering design evaluations to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility
  • Develop, implement, and communicate operational plans for project execution
  • Monitor project progress, performance, and adherence to schedules and budgets
  • Review industry policies and procedures to ensure compliance with data accuracy, security, and regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate technical support throughout the engineering process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and coordinate disciplines to achieve project goals
  • Identify, develop, and secure resources necessary for project completion
  • Prepare engineering design reviews, work specifications, schedules, budgets, and forecasts
  • Select appropriate materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors
  • Take proactive action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
