Joining Collins Aerospace isn’t just about finding a job; it’s about embarking on a journey to redefine the future of aerospace technology. What YOU will do Establish structural specifications, conduct performance tests, and plan or conduct experimental, environmental, operational, or stress tests on models or prototypes of systems or equipment to ensure quality and performance standards are met. Formulate conceptual design of products or systems to meet customer requirements. Evaluate product data and design from inspections and reports for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, and quality standards to ensure compliance and product quality. Apply scientific principles, design major components or portions of a functional system, technically advanced prototype, specific or promotional product to ensure high quality and function. Analyze, research and develop structural engineering specifications for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical and maintenance designs. Analyze damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling. Supply stress and structural support to the design and certification groups based on the provided geometry model. Perform structural static pull and full dynamic simulation with models. Translate the actual problem to the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) model, interpret analysis results, and select the best solution. Develop, design, plan, and implement, processes, systems and procedures utilizing standard engineering or technology principles to complete assignments. Provide technical feedback and consultation to other organizations involved in design or implementation activities. Participate in technology transfer initiatives among R&D and Product Engineering.
