Electric Operations ensures the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. The Electric Operations Team is responsible for ensuring the electric grid's reliability and resiliency through the ongoing maintenance and operations of PG&E's 100,000 miles of distribution lines and over 18,000 miles of Transmission lines. Coworkers in Electric Operations actively engage in the Lean Methodology through the use of visual management in operating reviews to cross-functionally identify and solve problems, and create standard work. The position manages aspects of program implementation and operations, ensuring the program is operating effectively. Responsibilities typically include managing relationships with vendors, developing and monitoring budgets, and partnering with various organizations to implement strategies.

  • Managing relationship with and providing direction to vendor(s).
  • Developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
  • Developing, measuring, and reporting on success of the program.
  • Partnering with the Marketing organization, vendors and external partners to develop and implement strategies to reach appropriate customer audience at the appropriate time.
  • Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners.
  • Partnering with Regulatory and Compliance staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support regulatory activities by supplying information for filings, data requests, and meeting with regulators.
  • Identifying stakeholders and communicate within and outside of PG&E.
  • Developing and/or implementing policies and procedures.
  • Identifying new partners, technologies, and delivery channels.
  • Managing end to end delivery of major cross-functional pilots and initiatives in support of Electric Operations Organization.
  • Coaching and mentoring less experienced employees.
  • Solving unique and complex problems, anticipating issues and developing innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrating strategic leadership with internal stakeholders to support Company goals.
  • Leading development of program goals and metrics to meet company goals and objectives.
  • Collaborating across organization to ensure alignment of goals to support program.
  • Organizing and leading cross-utility project teams to influence utility, regulatory and/or industry decisions.
  • Leading large statewide energy efficiency programs or efforts on behalf of PG&E to resolve issues and conflicts or to educate other parties.
  • Developing or providing significant input to PG&E leadership, other utilities with similar programs, industry and/or regulatory decision makers to influence market place and regulatory strategies impacting PG&E and its customers.
  • Leading facilitation of cross-functional workshops and strategic presentations in support of the Electric Strategy Forum.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of related experience or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Discretionary incentive compensation programs.
