Position: Principal Product Manager Job Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089 Duties: Drive product discovery and research processes, and write technical specifications for large, complex software engineering projects. Own end-to-end product development of Walmart’s Restrictions Platform, including shipping features for customers, leading user acceptance testing, and driving adoption. Build globally usable, scalable software platforms that are multi-tenant, de-coupled through APIs, and supportive of international localization. Lead product strategy, vision, roadmap creation and requirement specification definition by working with engineering and user experience stakeholders. Partner with cross-functional teams to take supply chain products to the next level. Work closely with leaders to execute against their technical vision and the software architecture of the overall product. Query (SQL) large scale data and databases, analyze and visualize the results to provide actionable insights, and be an advocate of metric and data-based decision making. Provide recommendations to engineering and executive teams on innovative, new product opportunities. Measure and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as percentage of items that are not compliant and percentage of items that are transactable for customers. Create and protect Intellectual Property (IP) by filing patents for inventions in systems, processes, and products. This position does not supervise employees.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related area and 7 years of post-bachelor’s progressively responsible experience in product management or related experience; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related area and 9 years of post-bachelor’s progressively responsible experience in product management or related experience.
  • Experience with the product management lifecycle, including creating the product vision, discovery, and roadmap, generating features, creating product artifacts, managing sprints, grooming backlogs, and overseeing launch and post-launch activities.
  • Experience building products based on artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • Experience with at least one of the following end-to-end supply chain systems: Order Management (OMS), Sourcing, Promise, or Fulfillment.
  • Experience identifying user needs and translating them into product features using design thinking and agile methodology.
  • Experience creating Epics and Stories using JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience with micro-service architecture, REST APIs, and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience leading stand-up meetings with engineering teams and working with technical and product teams, including customer experience, user experience, and product analytics teams.
  • Experience presenting product updates and deep dives to stakeholders, including senior leadership and peer level groups.
  • Experience launching and iterating web-based applications.
  • Experience identifying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), developing KPI tracking tools, and measuring and communicating findings to stakeholders.
