Position: Principal Product Manager Job Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089 Duties: Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Defines long-term vision and strategies for product family by capitalizing on domain expertise, leveraging internal and external best practices and standards to drive decision making; identifying market opportunities based on an in-depth understanding of the market and competition, overseeing the execution of benchmark studies and competitive assessments, approving business cases; prioritizing and allocating resources; and approving objectives and key performance indicators. Develops and enhances product family by developing and managing product roadmaps; gathering and documenting requirements; overseeing the development of requirements by other associates; collecting and analyzing customer and product data; turning customer insights into actionable priorities and initiatives; defining user and business acceptance criteria and roll out strategy; managing risks and dependencies; and prioritizing product backlog. Crafts and develops solutions to business challenges by communicating requirements to key partners (for example, business leaders, User Experience, Engineering, Analytics); engaging with key partners to determine implementation methods and timeline; and gaining buy-in from executive-level leadership. This position does not supervise employees.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related area and 7 years of experience in product management; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related area and 9 years of experience in product management.
  • Experience defining a product vision and articulating it into a product strategy.
  • Experience developing go-to-market strategies to drive product adoption in a market.
  • Experience influencing and building stakeholder consensus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of B2B SaaS Product Management, Fulfillment, Shipping, and Ecommerce concepts to identify new areas for value creation.
  • Experience developing and owning a product roadmap and its execution.
  • Experience with people management.
  • Experience conducting exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and patterns and leveraging them to make data driven product decisions.
  • Experience conducting product discovery to uncover unmet customer needs and translate them into business requirements for the product.
  • Experience with system architecture, services, database, and cloud technologies used to build scalable web applications.
  • Experience with project management, including managing client implementations and product launches by developing and executing project plans, anticipating potential roadblocks, and unblocking team in a timely manner.
  • Experience guiding product development through participation in the agile software development, cross-team collaboration, mentoring team members, and owning QA and Production support processes.
