As Principal Product Manager, you will drive the strategy and execution of Zillow’s tenant screening business, shaping innovative solutions that build customer trust and support operational excellence. Requirements

• 8+ years in a Product Management role, with a focus on building consumer-facing technology products.
• Customer-obsessed mindset, able to balance the needs of multiple personas to deliver products embraced by the market.
• Track record of shipping and scaling products that handle sensitive data or high transaction volume.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience influencing cross-functional teams and executives through data, storytelling, and clarity of thought.
• Outstanding eye for business, and ability to make data informed decisions with big financial impact.
• Strong sense of ownership and capability to prioritize across multiple intersecting initiatives and deliver solutions to market.

Nice To Haves

• Ecommerce and/or marketplace experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-year product strategy and roadmap for Zillow’s screening ecosystem, covering identity verification, credit and background data, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with Engineering to evolve the screening platform for greater scalability, reliability, modularity, and speed to innovate.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Partner teams to ensure reliability and fairness across millions of screening decisions.
• Define success metrics for performance, trust, and conversion, establishing dashboards and continuous learning loops.
• Translate complex technical and regulatory dependencies into clear, outcome-oriented narratives for senior leadership.
• Mentor other PMs across the Rentals organization, raising the bar for product craftsmanship and strategic depth.
