About The Position

This position is part of a dynamic team at the forefront of prototyping a system to integrate, manage and maintain a "Hardware In the Loop" or HWIL system on an existing development network. The role presents unique opportunities, such as regular customer interaction to iterate, streamline, and improve platform capabilities to meet customer objectives. This project is a new start and as one of the senior DevOps engineers on the team you will be looked to to establish baseline CI/CD pipelines on the project. You will be expected to provide architectural design advice, system CI/CD design leadership, and elegant solutions to the integration and management of hardware into the existing development environment.

Requirements

• Must have and be able to obtain and maintain at least a Secret security clearance (note, only US Citizens are eligible for security clearances)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. (Degree requirement can be met with four years of hands-on experience in a Software Engineering or similar full-time position.)
• Ability to collaborate as a team but execute independently
• Thrives in a high-trust, adaptable team environment
• Has experience some working with Microsoft Azure
• Strong experience creating CI/CD pipelines from scratch using at least one of GitLab CI, Jenkins, Concourse, Travis, GitHub Actions, or similar tools
• Strong experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines using at least one of the same technologies above
• Experience administering assets in a public cloud environment (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle)
• Entry-level experience with networking technology and concepts (e.g., difference between router and a switch)

Nice To Haves

• Experience maintaining CI/CD using GitLab CI
• Experience Administering assets in Azure
• Experience managing / administering network lab hardware
• Advanced networking certifications such as:
• CompTIA Network+
• Cisco CCENT, CCNA, or CCNP
• Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS, or JNCI

Responsibilities

• Develop a CI/CD system for this new start effort whose in which the goal to develop a system to seamless integrate hardware, and the management of that hardware into an existing development environment
• Develop robust and high-quality software, putting the user’s requirements first and always driving towards a working product on time
• Build and integrate automated testing into the product’s codebase
• Facilitate delivery and deployment of operational capabilities
