About The Position

Your Role The Platform Operations team, that focuses on the design, build, and operation of our foundational tech stack. The Principal Platform Engineer will report to the Director, Platform Engineering. In this role you will be focused on Agentic AI, to design, build, and evolve intelligent, autonomous systems that enhance internal developer productivity and operational efficiency. This role focuses on creating an agentic internal developer platform (IDP) using natural language interfaces, automating repetitive workflows, and developing AI-driven tooling to analyze and improve existing processes and procedures, all while following a Gitops framework Our leadership model is about developing great leaders at all levels and creating opportunities for our people to grow – personally, professionally, and financially. Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Requires at least 10 years of professional relevant experience
  • Expereince serving as a technical expert and thought leader in enterprise Platform development and operation.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing cloud services in a heavily regulated, DevOps environment
  • In depth knowledge of cloud hosting providers, including Microsoft Azure highly desired
  • Experience working in an agile development environment is strongly desired
  • Experience working remotely is strongly desired
  • Strong experience with LLMs, agent frameworks, and prompt engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages.
  • Experience building APIs, distributed systems, and scalable backend services.
  • Familiarity with workflow orchestration and automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of system design and software architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement an agentic internal developer platform (IDP) that enables developers to interact with systems using natural language.
  • Build AI agents capable of planning, reasoning, and executing multi-step tasks autonomously.
  • Develop modular, scalable architectures that support multiple agents and workflows.
  • Integrate LLMs, APIs, and internal systems into a cohesive agent ecosystem.
  • Create systems that allow users to define, execute, and monitor workflows using natural language.
  • Translate user intent into structured actions and automated pipelines.
  • Continuously improve language understanding, context awareness, and response accuracy.
  • Identify repetitive processes and procedures across engineering and operations teams.
  • Design and deploy agentic solutions to automate these workflows end-to-end.
  • Ensure automation solutions are reliable, auditable, and secure.
  • Measure and optimize efficiency gains from automation initiatives.
  • Build agentic tooling to mine, analyze, and map current-state processes and procedures.
  • Extract insights from logs, documentation, and system interactions.
  • Generate actionable recommendations for process optimization.
  • Maintain up-to-date representations of workflows and system dependencies.
  • Develop internal tools and SDKs to enable rapid creation of new AI agents.
  • Integrate with CI/CD systems, observability tools, and developer workflows.
  • Ensure interoperability across platforms and services.
  • Implement safeguards for agent behavior, including monitoring, validation, and rollback mechanisms.
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and data governance standards.
  • Build observability into agent decision-making and execution paths.
