About The Position

At Workvivo, we’re on a mission to elevate the employee experience by giving employees a voice, strengthening connection and culture, and making communication feel more human. As part of our growing Employee Insights offering, we’re looking for a Principal People Scientist to help our customers go beyond survey scores — uncovering the real story behind employee engagement, culture, and performance. In this role, you will lead Workvivo’s research strategy and scientific direction to strengthen its products and insights. You’ll collaborate across teams to enhance methodologies and translate complex research into clear, practical insights while representing Workvivo’s science through thought leadership and industry engagement. As part of the Zoom family, Workvivo combines the energy of a startup with the scale and support of a global technology leader. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of employee listening for some of the world’s most admired organizations.

Requirements

  • Have a Master’s or PhD in Organizational Psychology, Behavioral Science, HR Analytics, or similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Possess 10+ years of experience in organizational psychology, people analytics, employee engagement, or a related field.
  • Have experience in a consulting, client-facing, or advisory role, ideally within a SaaS or HR Tech company.
  • Demonstrate experience working with employee survey platforms (e.g., Glint, Qualtrics, Culture Amp, Peakon, Medallia, etc.).
  • Have familiarity with statistical techniques (e.g., regression, factor analysis, correlation) and software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python, or Excel).
  • Have expertise in employee engagement, organizational behavior, and survey methodology.
  • Have exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Working cross-functionally with product, data science, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to enhance the core product offering, survey methodologies, benchmarks, and insight reporting.
  • Developing and refine scalable frameworks and methodologies for impact-driven listening (e.g., drivers of engagement, predictive models, ROI models).
  • Mentoring other team members, and act as a subject matter expert on people analytics and organizational psychology within Workvivo.
  • Leading the organization’s research strategy and scientific point of view, shaping how evidence and insight underpin our brand, products, and customer communications.
  • Defining and executing a forward-looking research agenda that advances our understanding of workforce dynamics.
  • Translate complex science into clear, credible, and approachable content for diverse audiences, from CHROs and analysts to users and internal teams.
  • Developing science-backed messaging, user enablement materials, and survey and measurement taxonomies.
  • Ensuring our thought leadership and product philosophy are grounded in rigor and relevance.
  • Serving as a visible ambassador of our science. Presenting at webinars and events, advising strategic customers, and representing our perspective to industry analysts and the broader people analytics community.
