About The Position

BAE Systems is looking for a dynamic individual, self-motivated, with data and computing modernization experience, to join our team as a Principal Network Administrator providing support to the United States Army Europe-Africa's (USAREUR-AF) data and computing modernization efforts required to configure and integrate systems that support mission command decision‐making, enhance interoperability and C2 data sharing between US, NATO and coalition partners, and support the command’s concept for distributed command post operations. Duties may include conduct AoAs to assess design solution alternatives, facilitate cooperation among stakeholders to define technology applications, develop CONOPS and TTPs, conduct engineering studies, develop the Systems Engineering Management Plan, provide analysis to support reviews such as SRR and SFR, and perform engineering functions in support of experimentation, integration, and operations. Maintain operational efficiency of systems while configuring networks, performing hardware deployments, and implementing software according to engineering plans. The Principal Network Administrator will be involved with installation, maintenance, advanced trouble shooting and administration of existing network systems. Trains end-users and responds to user inquires. Sets up network security standards. Participates in major network installations and upgrades. Trouble shoots complex network problems. Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance. Presents recommendations on network interfaces and configurations. This position will be hybrid. Work locations will include Sterling, VA; Rockville, MD; Mount Laurel, NJ; Orlando, FL Huntsville, AL. Other major BAE Systems work locations may also be considered.

Requirements

  • Minimum education and years of experience required: 10+ Years with HS 8+ Years with AA 6+ Years with BS 4+ Years with MS 2+ Years with PhD
  • Bachelor's Degree or minimum of 10 years of experience
  • May substitute equivalent experience, training and/or certifications for the degree. Relevant experience is job-related work that provides the necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities to perform in the role.
  • Working knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of DoD Acquisition Regulations.
  • Experience to include classroom work with modeling and simulation.
  • Previous experience supporting the United States Army Europe-Africa’s (USAREUR-AF) data and computing modernization efforts.
  • CNA certification.
